Starting Lineup
PARAS CM · BALMIKI RD · MAYANK LM · RAM ST · AKRSH RW · YAGNADEEP LW · DHRUV GK · JAS RM · VANSH CD · NIRANJAN RB · SHIVANSH LBFocusing on a high press and vertical play, the team operates in a 4-3-3. This lineup is built to win the ball high up the pitch and quickly progress the play through the thirds. The goal is to maintain intensity and use the width of the pitch to stretch the opposition.
Dhruv GK stays between the posts to manage the back line. The defense functions as a flat back four with Niranjan RB and Shivansh LB acting as full backs to provide width. Vansh CD and Balmiki RD sit in the middle to defend zonally. Balmiki RD and Vansh CD must hold the line and stay compact to prevent runs in behind. The unit works to squeeze the space between the defensive and midfield lines to keep the block tight.
The midfield operates as a three-man midfield with a carrier. Paras CM sits in the center to shield the defense and recycle possession. Mayank LM and Jas RM play as the two central midfielders who connect the defensive and attacking lines. Mayank LM and Jas RM are tasked to press aggressively to win the ball high and drive forward with the ball into the half spaces. This group works to win the second ball and ensure the team can play short from the back when building play.
The attack uses three attackers across the front. Ram ST acts as a lone striker to lead the press from the front and find the feet of the striker when midfielders play through the lines. Yagnadeep LW and Akrsh RW play as wide wingers who hug the touchline to spread the play. These players aim to isolate wide players in one on one situations or cut inside to create chances. The front three work together to pin the last defender and create runs in behind during transitions.
This formation offers several tactical advantages for the team. The wide positioning of Yagnadeep LW and Akrsh RW creates wide overloads when Niranjan RB and Shivansh LB overlap the winger. The midfield can also achieve numerical superiority in the center if Paras CM drops deep. This allows the team to maintain control of the game while remaining ready to break quickly.
The 4-3-3 is a high intensity lineup designed for aggressive teams. It is best suited for matches where the opponent tries to play out from the back and can be pressured into mistakes.
