Searching for a balanced way to control the tempo and defend in banks of four, this team utilizes a 4-4-2. The goal is to create a compact block that makes it hard for opponents to play through the middle while keeping the lines tight. By using this formation, the team aims to strike quickly when they win the ball back in the middle third.

Tarum stands between the posts to organize the back line. The defense operates as a flat back four with Debayan acting as the right back and Adar on the left. Kushal and Real form the central pairing, where they work to hold the line and win the second ball. Kushal and Real must coordinate well to cover the space behind the full backs if they push high, ensuring the defensive unit stays organized.

The midfield relies on a central core to control the game. Samanta plays as a single pivot to shield the defense and break up play. Alongside Samanta, Tarum, Janam, and Nazar form a four man unit to occupy the central and wide areas. Janam and Nazar act as the central midfielders who look to carry the ball forward and connect the defense to the attack. Tarum and Janam work to compress the midfield, making sure there is no space between the lines for the opposition to exploit.

In the final third, the team uses two forwards in a partnership to put pressure on the opposition. Nondo and Jonat work together to press the opposition back line from the front. Nondo can play as a pressing centre-forward to force a long ball, while Jonat looks to find the feet of the striker or run in behind. The attackers aim to use combinations to create space, often looking to receive the ball in tight spaces or pull wide to stretch the defense.

This formation offers great compactness when defending in a mid-block. By having Samanta and the central midfielders stay close to the back four, the team can deny the turn to attacking midfielders. Another advantage is the ability to transition quickly with Nondo and Jonat ready to hit in behind on the transition. The wide players can also support the attack to create overloads on the flanks.
