Juventus favors a high press and verticality with a 2-5-3 formation. This lineup is built to win it back high up the pitch and immediately look for penetrative passes to catch the opposition out of position. The goal is to squeeze the space in the middle of the park and use the width of the pitch to stretch the defence.

Vicario plays behind a very aggressive defensive duo. Bremer and Lucumí act as the central defenders in this narrow defensive block. Bremer uses his aerial strength to win the second ball while Lucumí focuses on covering the space behind him. Because there are only two defenders, they must step up to engage attackers early and prevent runners from getting into the box. This requires high concentration to ensure they do not get caught in a two on two situation.

The midfield is a dense block of five players designed to control the central areas. Nico G and D.Luiz operate in the center, where D.Luiz helps to shield the defence and Nico G looks to carry the ball forward. Conceição plays as the attacking ten behind the striker, operating in the pockets to find the feet of the striker or play through the lines. On the flanks, Kalulu acts as the right midfielder to provide width while Kelly operates on the left. This central density allows Juventus to compress the midfield and force a long ball from the opposition.

In the final third, the team uses three attackers to pin the last defender. Koopmeiners operates as a pressing centre-forward, using his energy to press from the front and arrive late into the box. Alajbegovic and Woltemade play as wide attackers, with Alajbegovic on the left and Woltemade on the right. They aim to isolate wide players in one on one situations or pull wide to create space for the midfielders. The front three combine to hit in behind on the transition when the ball is recovered high up the pitch.

This formation offers massive numerical superiority in midfield, making it very difficult for opponents to play through the middle. The coordination of the five midfielders allows the team to win it back high up the pitch in waves. By having five players in the middle, Juventus can easily switch play to the wide players to create overloads.
