Erianto T (GK) · ERFAN M (CB) · JENARUT (CB) · M. RAFLI (CM) · PANDIANGAN (LB) · A. RIDWAN (RB) · DAPOT (DM) · FITRA (ST) · ADAM (CAM) · FAISAL (LW) · FATHAN (RW)A high intensity, attacking identity defines this team, which operates in a 4-2-4 formation. The lineup is built to catch opponents on the break and put immediate pressure on their defensive line. By spreading the width and pushing many bodies forward, the team looks to exploit space behind the opposition midfield and hit in behind on the transition.
Erianto T stays between the posts to manage the defensive line. The back four consists of a flat back four where A. RIDWAN and PANDIANGAN occupy the wide positions. A. RIDWAN acts as a defensive wing back to provide cover when the team loses the ball. In the center, JENARUT and ERFAN M form a central pairing that must hold the line and defend zonally. JENARUT and ERFAN M need to stay compact to prevent through balls, especially when the team is stretched during an attack.
The midfield works as a double pivot to provide a buffer for the defense. DAPOT and M. RAFLI occupy the central spaces, tasked with shielding the back four and winning the second ball. M. RAFLI and DAPOT must act as the engine, working to recover possession and quickly pass to the front four. They connect the defense and attack by recycling possession and looking to find the feet of the attackers quickly once the ball is won.
Up front, the team uses a heavy front four to stretch the defence. FAISAL and FATHAN act as wide wingers who look to cut inside and create chances. They are supported by a strike partnership of ADAM and FITRA. ADAM and FITRA act as two forwards who can combine in tight spaces or run in behind the defenders. The front line is expected to press from the front, forcing the opposition to play long balls and trying to win it back high up the pitch.
This formation offers a major advantage through the threat of quick transitions. With four players already high up the pitch, the team can break quickly and exploit a disorganized defense. Another strength is the ability to isolate wide players in one on one situations using the width provided by FAISAL and FATHAN. The high number of attackers pins the last defender and makes it difficult for the opposition to commit numbers to the midfield.
The 4-2-4 formation is a high risk, high reward lineup built for aggressive, vertical play. It is best suited for games where the team needs to score goals quickly against a side that sits deep.
