The midfield is a dense five man unit designed to control the central areas. Lacko and Jambor operate as a double pivot to shield the defence, with Lacko often dropping deeper to collect the ball. Ahead of them, Sambou, Moudrý, and Labaran work to win the second ball and drive the team forward. Moudrý and Sambou help to connect the defensive and attacking lines by moving into the half spaces, while Labaran works to press aggressively to win the ball in the middle third.

Jihlava utilizes a lone striker in Omotoye to lead the line. Omotoye acts as a pressing centre-forward, working to pin the last defender and force long balls from the opposition. The attack is built through the midfielders who look to find the feet of the striker or play through the lines with vertical passes. When the team wins the ball, the wingers or wide midfielders push up to provide width, allowing for runs in behind or cutbacks from the byline to catch the opposition defense off guard.

A major advantage for Jihlava is the numerical superiority in midfield which allows them to dominate possession in the central zone.
