Starting Lineup

Grazer AK aims to win the ball back high up the pitch through a high press using a 3-4-3. This lineup focuses on aggressive verticality and squeezing the space in the opponent's half to force mistakes. Stankovic acts as the last line of defense behind a back three. Vraa plays as the left centre-back to cover the wide areas, while Owusu occupies the right centre-back slot. Pines sits in the middle to direct the defensive line and win the second ball. This back three can step up to set the offside trap or drop into a low block when needed. The defenders defend zonally to maintain compactness and ensure they do not get pulled out of position.

The midfield functions as a central unit that connects the defense to the attack. Cvetko and Michorl operate in the center, where Michorl seeks to carry the ball forward and Cvetko works to intercept passes. Maderner acts as a pressing centre-forward to pin the last defender and disrupt the opposition build up. The forwards work to create runs in behind and look to receive the ball in combination to split the defence with a through ball. This attacking group relies on quick transitions to exploit space left by a high defensive line.
