McGregor, acting as the captain (C), dictates the tempo with his passing range and ability to control the game from deep. Baur provides balance by covering ground and helping to recycle possession. Nygren plays as an attacking ten behind the striker, looking to find pockets of space between the lines to create chances. This group works to squeeze the space in the center and win the second ball to keep the pressure on.

Celtic uses three attackers across the front to maintain constant width and central threat. Hogh acts as the lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and find the feet of the attackers. Duran stays wide on the left as an inverted winger who looks to cut inside, while Hassan occupies the right wing to stretch the play.
