Bahia focuses on a high press and aggressive verticality using a 4-3-3. This formation is built to win the ball high up the pitch and transition into attack with speed. By keeping the lines tight, Bahia looks to squeeze the space in the middle of the park and force turnovers in the opposition half.

Guido operates between the posts to command his area. The defensive unit sits in a flat back four with Zé acting as the left back to provide width. Erick plays as the right back to overlap when needed. In the center, Marcos and Kanu form the heart of the line, with Marcos providing cover while Kanu holds the line. The back four stays connected to prevent through balls and maintain a compact shape when the team drops into a mid-block.

The midfield operates as a three-man midfield with a carrier and a creative link. Caio and Lautaro occupy the central roles, with Lautaro looking to drive forward with the ball while Caio holds his position to shield the defense. Jean plays as an attacking ten behind the striker, finding pockets of space between the lines to create chances. This trio works to compress the midfield and ensures that the connection between the defense and the forward line remains strong through quick passing.

Bahia uses three attackers across the front to stretch the defense. Willian acts as the lone striker, looking to find the feet of the striker or run in behind the defenders. Mateo and Ademir play as wide wingers who cut inside to create central overloads. Mateo pushes high to pull the opposition full back wide, while Ademir looks to isolate a one on one situation on the flank. The front three press from the front to prevent the opponent from playing out from the back.

One major tactical advantage is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, forcing the opposition into mistakes. The lineup also offers wide overloads when Zé and Erick push up to support the wingers. This creates numerical superiority in the attacking third and allows Bahia to switch play quickly to the flanks.
