This lineup is built to sit in a mid-block and absorb pressure before hitting the opposition on the break. Ajoy Kosta guards the goal as the last line of defense. The back five consists of Ismail acting as the central anchor, flanked by Akash on the left and Abinash on the right. These three central defenders aim to win the second ball and clear the lines when under heavy pressure. Madhav and Joseph function as attacking wing backs, tasked with providing width and tracking back to maintain a compact block when out of possession. This defensive unit works to keep the distances between players small to prevent through balls.

The midfield operates as a three-man unit with a single attacking ten behind the strikers. Yesudas plays as the attacking midfielder to connect the lines and find pockets of space. Ghanshyam and Mohit occupy the central roles to shield the defense and win possession in the middle third. Ghanshyam and Mohit look to carry the ball forward and recycle possession to keep the team moving upward. They must press in a mid-block to disrupt the opponent's rhythm and force a long ball.

In the final third, the team utilizes two forwards in a partnership. Sazee and Anand lead the line, acting as a pair that can combine in tight spaces. Sazee can lead the press from the front to disrupt the opposition build up, while Anand looks to make runs in behind the defense. The attacking movements rely on the width provided by Madhav and Joseph to deliver crosses or cutbacks. This setup allows the duo to work in combinations to split the defense with a through ball.
