FCSB aims to hit teams in behind with high intensity through a 4-2-4. This formation prioritizes rapid attacks and vertical play to stretch the opposition. The goal is to use a heavy front line to pin the defense back while relying on quick transitions to catch opponents out of position.

Tarnovanu operates between the posts to command his area. The defensive line functions as a flat back four with Nghezana and Dawa acting as the central duo. Nghezana provides stability in the middle while Dawa works to cover space. Radunovic and Cretu hold the wide positions as full backs, tasked with tracking runners and protecting the flanks. The unit works to maintain a compact shape when the ball is lost to prevent long balls.

A double pivot forms the engine room for FCSB. Paolo and Muhar work together to shield the defense and win the second ball in central areas. Muhar helps to connect the defensive line to the attack, while Paolo focuses on cutting off the passing lane to the opposition forwards. This pairing must be disciplined to prevent the midfield from becoming too stretched when the four attackers push forward.

The attacking lineup is designed to overwhelm the back line with four players. Korenica and Miculescu act as wide attackers, with Korenica cutting inside to create central threats and Miculescu looking to get to the byline. In the center, Cisotti and Drăguș work as a strike partnership. Cisotti can hold up the ball to allow others to join the move, while Drăguș looks to make runs in behind the defenders. The front four are tasked to press from the front to force a long ball from the opponent.

This formation offers significant advantages in transition and speed. By using four attackers, FCSB can create wide overloads and isolate defenders in one on one situations. The heavy presence in the final third makes it difficult for the opposition to defend the box. When the team wins the ball, they can break quickly to exploit the space left by an advancing opponent.

FCSB relies on a high tempo and aggressive attacking intent. This lineup is best suited for games where the opponent plays a high line and can be punished with directness.
