The attacking line is extremely aggressive with four players positioned high. Baena and Lookman operate as wide wingers, with Lookman looking to cut inside and Baena to provide width. J. Alvarez and Sørloth play as a central partnership. Sørloth acts as a target man to hold up the ball and win aerial duels, while J. Alvarez works to find the feet of the striker and make runs in behind. This front four is designed to stretch the defense and create chaos in transition.

Atlético possesses significant tactical advantages through the speed of transition and the threat of the two central strikers. The high positioning of the four attackers allows the team to press in pairs and force errors near the opposition goal. By utilizing the strength of Sørloth and the movement of J.
