Huracán Football Formation
Starting Lineup
HERNÁN (GALÍNDEZ) · LUCAS (BLONDEL) · HUGO (NERVO) · FABIO (PEREYRA) · CÉSAR (IBÁÑEZ) · RODRIGO (FERNÁNDEZ) · LEONARDO (GIL) · ÓSCAR (ROMERO) · JUAN (BISANZ) · ÓSCAR (CORTÉS) · JORDY (CAICEDO)Huracán aims to play a high press with a direct, attacking intent, utilizing a 4-3-3 formation. This lineup is built to win the ball high up the pitch and quickly move it toward the final third. By using a heavy pressing game, the team tries to force turnovers in the opposition half to create immediate scoring chances.
Hernán operates between the posts to organize the defensive unit. The back four consists of a flat back four with Lucas and César acting as the full backs. Lucas looks to overlap the winger on the right, while César provides width on the left. In the center, Hugo and Fabio act as the primary defenders, tasked with defending zonally and making sure they hold the line. They must be ready to step up to catch attackers offside or drop to cover space behind the high line if the press is bypassed.
The midfield functions with a three-man midfield with a carrier and an attacking ten. Rodrigo and Leonardo work to control the center of the pitch, with Rodrigo looking to shield the defense and win the second ball. Leonardo can carry the ball forward to link the lines. Óscar plays in the hole as an attacking ten behind the striker, looking to find space between the lines and play through the lines. This group works to compress the midfield and prevent the opponent from playing out from the back.
Huracán uses three attackers across the front to stretch the defense. Jordy acts as the lone striker, often tasked to hold up the ball and pin the last defender. On the wings, Óscar and Juan provide width and goal threat. Óscar operates as an inverted winger who will cut inside to shoot or create, while Juan stays wider to cross. The forwards press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition. This setup is designed to create runs in behind and allow for quick combinations in the final third.
One major advantage for Huracán is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, making it difficult for opponents to build play. The formation also creates wide overloads when Lucas and César push forward to join the attack. This creates numerical superiority in the attacking phase, allowing the team to pin the opposition back into a low block.
This 4-3-3 formation is built for aggressive, high-intensity football. It is best suited for matches against teams that struggle to play out from the back under pressure.
