Marcelo operates between the posts to manage the defensive line. Behind him, a back three consists of Gastón, Fernando, and Nicolás. Gastón and Nicolás act as wide centre-backs who can shift to cover the flanks when the wide midfielders push high. Fernando sits centrally to win headers and clear the lines. This unit functions to maintain a compact block, often dropping into a low block to deny space behind the defense.

The midfield setup utilizes a three man midfield with a carrier and an attacking ten behind the strikers. Rodrigo acts as the attacking ten to link the lines and play through the lines. In the deeper areas, Estebán and Yeison work to control the tempo and win the ball back. They provide the platform for the wing backs, Rafael and Rodrigo, to push forward and provide width. This midfield group works to compress the midfield and ensure the team can transition from a defensive block into an attacking phase.

Barracas Central employs two forwards in a partnership with Gonzalo and Manuel leading the line. Gonzalo and Manuel act as a combination duo, with one often looking to hold up the ball while the other looks to run in behind. The wingers, Rafael and Rodrigo, stay wide to pull defenders apart and create space for the central attackers. This setup allows the team to attack in combinations, using the wide players to deliver crosses or cutbacks into the box once they get to the byline.

This formation offers Barracas Central the advantage of numerical superiority in midfield to control the central zone.
