The wide defenders, IGNACIO and LEONEL, act as attacking wing backs, pushing high to provide width and deliver crosses. The defensive unit holds a compact shape to ensure there are no gaps between the lines.

The midfield utilizes a double pivot to control the center of the pitch. FRANCO and LAUTARO work to shield the defense and win the second ball. LAUTARO often drives forward with the ball to transition from defense to attack, while FRANCO works to recycle possession and connect the back five to the front three.
