Sarmiento (Junín) aims to play a direct and high intensity game using a 4-2-4. This formation is built to overwhelm the opposition through a heavy front line and rapid transitions. The goal is to force the opponent back with constant pressure from the forwards while maintaining a vertical style of play that looks to hit the back line quickly.

THYAGO stands between the posts to organize the defensive line. The back four operates as a flat defensive block. NICOLÁS acts as the left back to provide width, while THIAGO covers the right side. In the middle, RENZO and JUAN MANUEL form the central pairing, with JUAN MANUEL tasked to act as a ball playing defender to start attacks. The defensive unit works to keep the line high to compress the pitch and support the aggressive press from the front.

The midfield consists of a double pivot to provide some control in the center of the pitch. MAURICIO and CRISTIAN operate in this central zone, tasked with shielding the defense and recycling possession. MAURICIO often looks to drive forward with the ball to link the play, while CRISTIAN works to intercept passes and win the second ball. This duo must cover significant ground to protect the space left behind by the attacking players.

Sarmiento (Junín) utilizes four attackers to stretch the opposition. GASTÓN and JULIÁN act as wide wingers who stay high to pin the opposing full backs. GASTÓN tends to cut inside to create chances, while JULIÁN looks to get to the byline and deliver crosses. Up front, JUNIOR and DIEGO operate as a two man strike partnership. JUNIOR plays as a pressing centre-forward to disrupt the build up, while DIEGO looks to find the feet of the striker and play with his back to goal to hold up the ball.

A major tactical advantage of this 4-2-4 is the ability to create wide overloads when the wingers and full backs combine. The team can also strike with great speed of transition, using the four forwards to catch the opposition out of position. This setup allows the team to isolate wide players in one on one situations by getting the ball to the flanks as quickly as possible.
