The midfield operates as a central block that connects the defense to the front four. Timber and Calafiori act as a double pivot, with Timber sitting deep to shield the two defenders while Calafiori provides extra cover. Rice operates in the half space as a carrier to drive the ball forward into the attacking third. B. Guimarães joins the press aggressively to win the ball high up the pitch, allowing Arsenal to maintain constant pressure. This four man unit ensures the team can quickly recycle possession or transition into a direct attack.

In the final third, the team uses a heavy front line of four players. Havertz and Gyökeres function as a striking partnership, where one can act as a target man to hold up the ball while the other looks for runs in behind. Ødegaard stays wide on the left to pull the defender out of position before cutting inside to create chances.
