The midfield operates as a three-man midfield with a carrier and a creative link. Sergio works to shield the defense and win the second ball, allowing Mark to carry the ball forward into the attacking third. Leo plays as an attacking ten behind the striker, looking to find pockets of space between the lines. This trio connects the defense to the attack, with Sergio dropping deep to help the center backs if needed, while Mark and Leo drive the team forward through the middle.
