JD GUNN · CODY (BAKER) · TANNER (BEASON) · ANDREW (FARRELL) · WILL (SANDS) · MATT (POLSTER) · BROOKLYN (RAINES) · DÁNIEL (GAZDAG) · GRIFFIN (YOW) · DIEGO (FAGÚNDEZ) · LEONARDO (CAMPANA)New England aims to dominate through high pressing and direct attacking in a 4-3-3. This formation relies on winning the ball high up the pitch to create immediate threats against the opposition. The lineup is built to stretch the pitch and use quick vertical passes to catch defenders out of position.
JD Gunn plays behind a flat back four that maintains a high line to squeeze the space. Tanner and Andrew act as the central defenders, with Andrew often stepping into midfield to help build play while Tanner focuses on covering the space behind. Cody and Will operate as full backs, with Cody looking to overlap the winger while Will stays more disciplined to protect the flank. The whole defensive unit works to keep the team compact and triggers a press as soon as the ball enters their zone.
The midfield functions as a three man midfield with a carrier and an attacking ten. Brooklyn and Matt occupy the central roles, with Matt acting to shield the defense and Brooklyn driving forward to carry the ball into the half spaces. Dániel plays as the attacking ten behind the striker, looking to find pockets of space between the lines and play through the lines with incisive passes. This trio connects the defensive unit to the front three, ensuring New England can recycle possession or break quickly.
The attack features three attackers across the front with Leonardo acting as a pressing centre-forward. Diego and Griffin work as inverted wingers who cut inside to create space for the full backs. Leonardo focuses on holding up the ball and making runs in behind the defense to pin the last defender. The front line works in combination to press from the front, forcing long balls and winning the second ball to keep the pressure high.
New England gains a major advantage through its ability to press high in coordinated waves. By using the front three to trigger the press, the team creates turnovers in dangerous areas. Another strength is the ability to create wide overloads, as the movements of Diego and Griffin allow Cody and Will to push high and deliver crosses.
This 4-3-3 formation is built for aggressive, high intensity football that seeks to overwhelm the opponent. It is best suited for matches against teams that struggle to play out from the back under pressure.
