Austin FC seeks to control the tempo through high pressing and rapid transitions in a 3-4-3. This formation is built to stretch the pitch and squeeze the space between the lines to regain possession quickly. The lineup focuses on heavy width and verticality to force the opposition into difficult defensive decisions.

In goal, BRAD acts as the last line of defense to organize the unit. The back line consists of a back three featuring OLEKSANDR, MIKKEL, and GUILHERME. OLEKSANDR holds the center while MIKKEL and GUILHERME cover the wide channels of the defensive block. This three man unit is tasked to play out from the back and step up to set the offside trap when the team pushes high. They must remain compact to prevent runners from slipping through the middle.

The midfield operates with two central players, ILIE and BESARD, who connect the defense to the attack. ILIE and BESARD sit in the middle to shield the defense and win the second ball. Beside them, JOSEPH and JON act as wide midfielders to provide depth and width. JOSEPH and JON are required to track back to help the defenders while also looking to carry the ball forward into the final third. This midfield setup allows the team to control the center while maintaining the ability to shift the play wide.

Austin FC utilizes three attackers to pin the opposition back. CHRISTIAN leads the line as a lone striker to hold up the ball and find the feet of his teammates. On the flanks, MYRTO and FACUNDO operate as wide wingers to stretch the defense. MYRTO and FACENDO often cut inside to create overloads in the half spaces. This attacking movement is designed to create runs in behind and allow for cutbacks from the byline when the wingers get to the end line.

One major tactical advantage for Austin FC is the ability to create wide overloads through the combination of JOSEPH, JON, and the wingers. The formation also allows for a coordinated press from the front to win the ball back high up the pitch. By using three central defenders, the team maintains compactness when defending against quick counters.
