In the middle, JALEN and EFRAÍN form the central pairing, with JALEN acting as a ball playing defender to help play short from the back and EFRAÍN focusing on covering space and winning headers.

The midfield functions with a three-man midfield with a carrier and an attacking presence. VICTOR and FRANKIE work to control the central area, with VICTOR looking to drive forward with the ball to break the line. IVAN operates as an attacking ten behind the striker, finding pockets of space to play through the lines. This trio works to compress the midfield and ensure the team can recycle possession when the initial press is bypassed.

Indy Eleven utilizes three attackers across the front to stretch the defence. ALEXIS operates as a pressing centre-forward, looking to lead the line and find the feet of the striker during build up. GENNADIY and OLGER act as wide wingers who hug the touchline to pull the opposition wide, creating space for IVAN to arrive late into the box. These forwards work in combination to hit in behind on the transition and exploit gaps in the opposition back line.

A major advantage for Indy Eleven is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, which can force a long ball from the opposition. The formation also allows for wide overloads when DAWID and LUCA push forward to support the wingers. This creates numerical superiority in wide areas and allows the team to switch play effectively to isolate wide players in one on one situations.
