The midfield functions with a three man midfield with a carrier to link the lines. Daniel plays as the left central midfielder and Matias operates as the right central midfielder, both tasked with pressing aggressively to win the ball high. Bo plays as an attacking ten behind the striker, occupying the pocket between the lines to create chances. Daniel and Matias must work to protect the center and recycle possession when the team needs to slow the tempo. This central group connects the back four to the attacking unit through quick passing.

In the attacking third, Djurgårdens IF utilizes three attackers across the front. Kristian acts as the pressing centre forward to pin the last defender and disrupt the build up. Oskar plays as an inverted winger on the left and Jeppe operates as an inverted winger on the right, both looking to cut inside to find goal scoring opportunities. This movement creates space for Max and Adam to overlap the winger and deliver crosses. The forwards work in combinations to break the line and find Kristian in the box.
