KOBILJAR and ŠTILIĆ act as the engine room, with KOBILJAR often tasked to press aggressively to win the ball high up the pitch. ŠTILIĆ helps to connect the defensive and attacking lines by receiving the ball from the defenders and finding the forwards.

Željeznicar employs three attackers across the front to stretch the defense. UBIPARIP acts as a pressing centre-forward, working to pin the last defender and harass the opposition center backs. JOVIĆ plays as an inverted winger on the left, looking to cut inside into central areas, while GASAL stays wide on the right to provide width. This setup allows for combinations in tight spaces and creates frequent opportunities for runs in behind the defensive line.

A major tactical advantage for Željeznicar is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, making it difficult for opponents to build play from the back.
