This unit functions to maintain a high line, forcing the opposition back and using the offside trap to manage space behind the defenders.

The midfield engine is built around a three-man midfield with a carrier and two wider players. Eneko plays as an attacking ten behind the strikers, looking to find pockets of space between the lines.
