Focusing on a heavy high press and quick transitions, this team utilizes a 3-5-2 formation. The lineup is built to control the center of the pitch and use the width of the field through aggressive wing play. This system seeks to win the ball high up the pitch to catch opponents out of position.

Youssef plays between the posts to organize the defensive unit. The back line consists of a back three where Sebas acts as the left centre back and Urti serves as the right centre back. Pablo sits in the middle to anchor the defensive line and sweep behind his teammates when they step up. Sebas and Urti must be prepared to cover the wide areas when the midfield pushes forward. The defensive unit works together to maintain a high line and squeeze the space in front of them.

In the center of the pitch, the team employs a three man midfield with a carrier and creative outlets. Eneko operates as the attacking ten behind the strikers to link the lines. Gorka and Ibai provide the engine in the middle to win the second ball and drive forward with the ball. Santi and Zuga provide the width by playing as wide midfielders who can push high. These four players must work to compress the midfield and prevent the opposition from playing through the middle.

The attack features two forwards in a partnership to stretch the opposition defense. Ramón and Juanpa work as a duo, often looking to run in behind the back line or link up play between the lines. Ramón acts as a pressing centre forward to force long balls from the opposition. Juanpa looks to hold up the ball and lay it off to the arriving midfielders. The movement of the front two is designed to create space for Eneko to arrive late into the box.

One major strength of this formation is the ability to press high in coordinated waves. By using Santi and Zuga to pin the opposition full backs, the team creates wide overloads.
