Türkiye focuses on a compact defensive identity, operating within a 5-4-1 formation. This lineup is built to sit deep and absorb pressure before looking to strike with directness. The goal is to squeeze the space between the lines and force the opposition into wide areas where they can be contained.

Altay stays between the posts to command the area and organize the back line. The defense consists of a back five where Salih acts as the central anchor, providing strength in the air and covering the space behind his teammates. Ozan operates as the right centre-back, while Abdulkadir takes the left centre-back role, both tasked with winning the second ball and clearing the lines when under heavy pressure. Zeki plays as the right wing back, expected to push up and provide width, while Ferdi operates as the left wing back to support the flanks and track back when the ball is lost.

A central midfield block of four works to protect the defensive unit. Orkun sits in the single pivot role to shield the defence and recycle possession. Arda plays centrally to connect the defensive and attacking lines, often looking to play through the lines with his passing range. Kenan and Barış Alper operate on either side of the central axis, with Barış Alper using his high energy to press opponents and Kenan looking to carry the ball forward into space. This midfield unit works to deny the turn to opposition playmakers and force long balls.

The attacking phase relies on a lone striker, Can, who must hold up the ball to allow the midfield to move up the pitch. Türkiye uses Can to pin the last defender and create space for late runs into the box from Arda or Kenan. The team looks to transition quickly, often using the width provided by Zeki and Ferdi to whip it in toward the box. When the team wins the ball high up the pitch, they look to hit in behind on the transition to catch the opposition out of position.

Türkiye gains a massive advantage through its defensive compactness when defending in a low block. The five defenders and four midfielders make it very difficult for opponents to find gaps in the middle of the pitch. Additionally, the wide overloads created by Zeki and Ferdi allow the team to switch play rapidly and stretch the defence when they move from a defensive stance into an attacking one.
