The midfield relies on a double pivot to manage the center of the pitch. Paredes and Delgado work together to control the tempo and connect the defense to the attack. Paredes often looks to pass through the lines to find the forwards, while Delgado works to press in a mid-block and win possession back high up the pitch. This pair must be disciplined to ensure they do not get bypassed when the team pushes forward.

Boca utilizes a front four to maximize attacking pressure. Aranda and Flores act as wide wingers, with Flores looking to cut inside while Aranda stays wide to stretch the defense. In the center, Ascacibar and Merentiel operate as a two-man striking partnership. Merentiel works to hold up the ball and fight for headers, while Ascacibar makes runs in behind to exploit gaps in the defense. The forwards press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition.

One major advantage for Boca is the ability to create wide overloads when the full backs join the wingers. The formation also allows for high intensity pressing in coordinated waves, making it difficult for opponents to build play from the back.
