The midfield operates as a double pivot to provide a screen for the back four. Villasanti acts as the primary ball winner, pressing aggressively to win the ball and shielding the defense. Noriega works alongside him to connect the defensive and attacking lines, often carrying the ball forward to bypass the midfield.
