Custom Team Football Formation
Starting Lineup
Ari · Danny · Asher · Atari · Elliot · Everett · Blake · Adam · Leo · Spencer · JohnnyA heavy focus on high pressing and direct attacking defines this team in a 4-3-3. This lineup aims to win the ball back high up the pitch and use quick transitions to catch opponents off guard. The goal is to stretch the defence and create chances through rapid vertical movements.
Ari operates between the posts to manage the defensive line. A flat back four serves as the foundation, with Danny and Asher acting as full backs to provide width. Danny looks to overlap the winger while Asher can push up to support the attack. In the center, Atari and Elliot form the pairing, with Atari tasked to cover space while Elliot works to win the second ball. This unit works to hold the line and keep the distance between the back four and the midfield compact.
The midfield consists of a three-man midfield with a carrier in the center. Everett acts as the central link, looking to receive on the half-turn and progress through the thirds. To his right, Leo drives forward with the ball to join the attack, while Adam operates on the left to connect the defensive and attacking lines. This group focuses on pressing in a mid-block to force a long ball from the opposition. They work to squeeze the space and deny the pivot of the other team.
In the final third, the team utilizes three attackers across the front. Blake plays as a lone striker, tasked to find the feet of the striker and pin the last defender. Johnny and Spencer act as inverted wingers who cut inside to create central threats. Johnny and Spencer look to exploit the half-spaces, while also looking to get to the byline to cut it back for Blake. The forwards press from the front to prevent the opposition from playing out from the back.
This formation offers significant tactical advantages, particularly the ability to press high in coordinated waves. By using the front three to trigger a press, the team can win it back high up the pitch and strike quickly. Another strength is the ability to create wide overloads when Danny and Spencer coordinate their movements on the right side. The team also finds success by using quick combinations to break the line.
The 4-3-3 lineup relies on intensity and rapid movement to overwhelm the opposition. It is a system best suited for games against teams that struggle to play short from the back.
