Starting Lineup
Shashank 9 · Hitansh 10 · Parag 7 · Piyush 8 · Dheeraj 6 · Vihan 5 · Gourang 4 · Shourya 3 · Not final 2 · Not final 11 · Not final 1Aiming for high intensity and direct verticality, this lineup utilizes a 3-3-4 formation to overwhelm opponents. The intention is to pin the opposition back and use a massive attacking presence to create constant chaos in the final third. This tactical setup is built to play with extreme aggression, looking to win the ball high up the pitch and strike before the defense can settle.
The defensive unit relies on a back three consisting of Shourya as the central figure, flanked by the left and right center backs. Shourya must act as the anchor, organizing the line and winning headers to keep the ball safe. Since there are no full backs, the defensive unit must remain compact to avoid being stretched by wide players. The goalkeeper is tasked with managing the space behind this high line and sweeping up long balls when the defenders step up to engage.
In the center of the pitch, a three man midfield provides the link between the back three and the heavy front line. Gourang occupies the central role to connect the defensive and attacking lines, while Dheeraj and Vihan operate as the wider central midfielders. Dheeraj and Vihan are responsible for driving forward with the ball and pressing aggressively to win the ball back. They must work to cover the wide spaces left by the lack of full backs, ensuring the team does not get bypassed easily in central areas.
The attack is incredibly heavy with four players pushing high. Hitansh and Shashank act as a striking partnership, with Hitansh working to find the feet of the strikers and Shashank looking for runs in behind. On the flanks, Piyush and Parag act as wide wingers who seek to isolate defenders in one on one situations. This front line is designed to press from the front, forcing the opposition back into their own box and creating opportunities for cutbacks or quick combinations.
One clear advantage of this formation is the sheer numerical superiority in the attacking third, which can overwhelm a standard back four. By having four attackers, the team can pin the last defender and create multiple passing lanes through the middle. Another strength is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, using the four forwards and three midfielders to squeeze the space in the opponent's half.
This 3-3-4 setup is a high risk, high reward system focused on relentless attacking pressure. It is best suited for games where the team needs to chase a result against a side that sits deep in a low block.
