Bratstvo focuses on a high press and rapid transitions using a 5-2-3. This formation aims to dominate the pitch by squeezing the space between the lines and using wide areas to stretch the opposition. The lineup is built to win the ball back high up the pitch and move forward with directness.
In goal, ALBERTOSI acts as the foundation for the defensive unit. The back line operates as a back three with VORONIN sitting centrally to command the area. To his left, CHARLTON covers the space, while VASOVIĆ plays as the right centre-back to provide balance. ZEBEC and VOGTS act as attacking wing backs, pushing high to provide width and support the attack. This defensive unit functions by staying compact and ensuring the wing backs track back to form a solid five when the team is out of possession.
The midfield works as a double pivot to control the central areas. SASTRE and MAZZOLA occupy the central roles, tasked with protecting the defence and driving forward when the ball is won. SASTRE helps shield the back three, while MAZZOLA looks to connect the defence to the attack. This duo must be ready to press in a mid-block or step up to win the second ball. Their ability to recycle possession allows Bratstvo to maintain control before launching quick attacks.
The attacking front line consists of three players designed to exploit space. SIVORI and KOPA operate as wide wingers, with SIVORI cutting inside to create chances and KOPA looking to get to the byline. VUKAS plays as a lone striker, acting as a focal point to hold up the ball and allow the wingers to join the attack. This front three works together to press the opposition back line, creating runs in behind and looking for cutbacks to find teammates arriving late into the box.
A primary advantage of this formation is the ability to create wide overloads through the movement of ZEBEC and VOGTS. By pushing the wing backs high, the team forces the opposition to defend more space. Bratstvo also benefits from numerical superiority in the defensive block, making it very hard for opponents to find gaps in the middle. The speed of transition allows the team to hit opponents on the break before they can get organized.
This 5-2-3 setup provides a strong defensive base while maintaining a heavy attacking presence. It is best suited for games against teams that play with high defensive lines or those that struggle to manage wide players in transition.
