A focus on defensive solidity and rapid transitions defines this team through a 5-3-2 formation. This lineup is built to sit deep and absorb pressure before hitting teams in behind. The team relies on a compact block to squeeze the space between the lines and force long balls.

Scheumann acts as the last line of defense in goal. The defensive unit operates with a back three consisting of Antalik, Korop, and Pick. Antalik stays central to anchor the line, while Korop and Pick provide cover and defend zonally. The wing backs, Seelentag and Gomez, act as attacking wing backs to provide width during transitions. Seelentag and Gomez must track back to ensure the team maintains a five man defensive line when the opposition has the ball.

The midfield uses a three man midfield with a carrier and an attacking ten. Beßlich and Nicolau occupy the central roles to protect the defense and win the second ball. Beßlich works to connect the defensive and attacking lines by recycling possession. Driza operates as an attacking ten behind the strikers to find pockets of space. Driza seeks to play through the lines to feed the front two.

The attacking structure features two forwards in a partnership. Tajidi and Dolo work together as a pair of strikers to pressure the opposition back line. Tajidi often looks to find the feet of the striker or run into space, while Dolo can hold up the ball to allow the midfielders to move forward. When the team wins the ball, Gomez and Seelentag push up to create wide overloads, allowing Tajidi and Dolo to focus on central presence and runs in behind.

One major advantage for this lineup is the compactness when defending in a mid block. By keeping the distance between the midfield and the back three small, the team makes it very hard for opponents to play through the middle. Another strength is the ability to counter at pace using the width provided by Gomez and Seelentag. This creates a sudden stretch of the defense that catches opponents out of position.

This 5-3-2 formation provides a very strong defensive base for the team. It is best suited for games against high possession sides where the goal is to sit deep and strike on the break.
