Custom Team Football Formation
Starting Lineup
Júlio Kuntz · Sylvio Hoffmann · Mariano · Raffa · Zarzur · Orozimbo · Luizinho · Siriri · Armandinho · Bibi · NetinhoA heavy emphasis on verticality and high pressing defines this lineup, which operates in a 2-5-3 formation. The team looks to win the ball high up the pitch and immediately push forward to catch the opposition out of position. This formation is built to overload the central areas and create chaos in the attacking third through constant movement.
Júlio Kuntz stays between the posts to act as the last line of defense. The defensive unit relies on a very high line with only two central defenders, Sylvio Hoffmann and Mariano, to cover the space behind. Because there are no full backs, Hoffmann and Mariano must be ready to step up and intercept long balls or track runners into the channels. The defenders function as a tight unit, often needing to sweep behind the midfield to deal with direct threats.
The midfield is a dense five man block designed to dominate the center of the pitch. Zarzur sits in the middle to shield the two central defenders and recycle possession. On either side, Raffa and Orozimbo work to drive forward with the ball and break the line. The creative energy comes from the wide midfielders, Siriri and Bibi, who occupy the half spaces to link the midfield to the front three. This crowded middle allows the team to press in pairs and win the second ball effectively.
Up front, the team utilizes three attackers to stretch the defense. Armandinho acts as the focal point, working to hold up the ball and find the feet of his teammates. Netinho and Luizinho play as wide wingers, with Netinho on the left and Luizinho on the right, to provide width and isolate defenders in one on one situations. These attackers press the opposition back line aggressively to force mistakes. They look to combine in tight spaces and hit in behind on the transition to exploit gaps left by the opponent.
One major advantage is the numerical superiority in midfield, which makes it difficult for opponents to play through the middle. The presence of Siriri and Bibi alongside the central trio allows for constant passing triangles to progress through the thirds. Another strength is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, using the front three to trigger a press that the midfield can quickly join. This creates immense pressure in the final third.
This formation is a high risk, high reward setup that relies on extreme aggression to control games. It is best suited for facing teams that struggle to play out from the back and cannot handle intense central pressure.
