Man City aims to dominate through high possession and heavy pressing in a 4-3-3. This formation focuses on controlling the tempo and squeezing the pitch to keep the ball in the opposition half. The goal is to use constant ball movement to tire out opponents and create gaps for players to exploit.

MIKEY operates between the posts to provide a base for building play. A flat back four forms the defensive line with SAVVY and NIC acting as full backs to provide width. ZAIDO and TROY sit as central defenders, with ZAIDO acting as a ball playing defender to help play short from the back. The unit aims to hold a high line to keep the team compact and win the ball back high up the pitch.

The midfield relies on a three man midfield with a carrier and a creative link. NIYAAZ and YASEEN work to control the center, with NIYAAZ pressing aggressively to win the ball back. JAMA (C) plays as an attacking ten behind the striker, acting as the primary playmaker to connect the lines. JAMA (C) finds the feet of the striker and looks to play through the lines with precise passes.

Man City employs three attackers across the front. DASSIE acts as a pressing centre-forward to lead the line and harass the opposition back line. OPEN and ADAM work as wide wingers, with OPEN cutting inside to create chaos in the half spaces. The team looks to use these wingers to stretch the defence and create chances for DASSIE through cutbacks or through balls.

This lineup offers several tactical advantages. The presence of JAMA (C) behind the striker allows for numerical superiority in the final third. Wide overloads occur when SAVVY and NIC push up to overlap the wingers, forcing the opposition to defend deep. This allows Man City to pin the last defender and create many chances through combination play.

This 4-3-3 identity is built on controlling space and dominating the ball. It is most effective against teams that sit in a low block and struggle to handle constant pressure.
