JERE (1) · DIEGO (4) · CARITA (2) · PIPA (6) · ENZO (3) · CHUCKY (8) · JOSE (c) (5) · CAFE (11) · NAHUE (10) · FABIAN (7) · MAURI (9)A heavy emphasis on defensive solidity and quick transition play defines this team in a 5-3-2. The formation focuses on sitting deep and absorbing pressure before hitting the opposition with direct vertical movements. This lineup works to congest the central areas to deny passing lanes while preparing to launch attacks once the ball is won.
Jere stays between the posts to manage the defensive line. A back five provides a narrow defensive block to protect the central zones. Jose (C), acting as the captain, leads the central trio to ensure the unit remains compact. Pipa and Carita operate as wide centre-backs, providing cover when the wing backs push forward. Jose holds the line while Pipa and Carita step up to intercept or win the second ball. Diego and Enzo act as attacking wing backs, providing the necessary width to stretch the defence during offensive phases.
The midfield relies on a three-man midfield with a carrier to move the play forward. Cafe and Chucky work in the central area to shield the defence and win possession. They focus on recycling possession and protecting the space in front of the back five. Nahue plays as an attacking ten behind the strikers, operating in the pocket to connect the midfield to the front line. Nahue looks to receive on the half-turn to play through the lines and find the forwards.
Two forwards in a partnership lead the attack. Mauri and Fabian operate as a strike duo, looking to run in behind the opposition back line. Mauri tends to hold up the ball to allow others to join the play, while Fabian looks to make runs into the space. The wing backs, Diego and Enzo, provide constant width to allow Mauri and Fabian to stay central. When the team wins the ball, the forwards press from the front to force a long ball from the opponent.
The team gains a major advantage through its compactness when defending, making it very hard to break down centrally. Another strength is the ability to create wide overloads as Diego and Enzo push high to overlap the midfielders. This causes the opposition to stretch and creates gaps for Nahue to exploit in the half-spaces.
This 5-3-2 lineup is built to be defensively solid and lethal on the break. It is best suited for games against teams that dominate possession and leave space behind their high defensive line.
