OFI aims to play a vertical and aggressive brand of football using a 4-2-4. This formation is built to stretch the opposition and attack with high intensity by flooding the final third. The main goal is to win the ball high up the pitch and move quickly toward the goal to catch the opponent out of position.

In goal, 76 stays between the posts to organize the defensive line. The back four consists of 70 at right back and 75 at left back, while 71 and 73 operate as the central defenders. The full backs are expected to push forward to provide width, but they must track back quickly when possession is lost. The central defenders, 71 and 73, act as a zonal line to protect the box and win the second ball. They must maintain a high line to compress the space in front of them.

The midfield operates as a double pivot to provide a screen for the defense. Both 75 and 71 sit in front of the back four to protect the center of the pitch and intercept passes. These two players act as the engine, with one looking to carry the ball forward while the other stays deeper to deny the pivot of the opposition. They connect the defensive unit to the heavy attacking line, recycling possession when the forward players are marked.

OFI uses a heavy front line consisting of four attackers. On the flanks, 76 and 76 act as wide wingers who look to hug the touchline and isolate defenders in one on one situations. In the center, 75 and 72 operate as two forwards in a partnership to pin the last defender. This lineup is designed to create runs in behind and use the wide players to pull the defense apart. The forwards press from the front to force a long ball and win the ball back high up the pitch.

One major tactical advantage for OFI is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, using the four attackers to squeeze the space. This creates immediate pressure on the opposition goalkeeper and defenders. Another strength is the potential for wide overloads, as the wingers and full backs can combine to overwhelm the flanks. This setup makes it very difficult for opponents to defend against quick transitions.

This 4-2-4 formation is built for high pressing and rapid attacking transitions. It is best suited for games where the team needs to break down a low block or play against an opponent that struggles with high defensive lines.
