AEL focuses on a high press and quick transitions using a 4-3-3 formation. This lineup is built to press the opposition high up the pitch and win the ball back quickly to catch opponents out of position. The team seeks to play with high intensity to disrupt the rhythm of the other side.

Kotsios starts between the posts to manage the defensive line. The back four functions as a zonal line with kiryakos komo and xaris acting as the full backs. Kiryakos komo is tasked to overlap the winger to provide width while xaris provides support on the left. In the center, kotsios and stratis form the heart of the defense, where stratis acts as a ball playing defender to start attacks. They must hold the line and cover the space behind the high press to prevent long balls.

The midfield works as a three-man midfield with a carrier. Yanoui and sougkros occupy the central roles to control the tempo and shield the defense. Yanoui works to win the second ball and progress through the thirds, while sougkros links the defensive and attacking lines. Marinos plays as an attacking ten behind the striker, acting as the primary creator. He moves between the lines to find pockets of space and can arrive late into the box to score.

AEL utilizes three attackers across the front to stretch the defense. Kakos acts as a pressing centre-forward, working to pin the last defender and disrupt the build up. Mike and kladas operate as wide wingers who hug the touchline to create maximum width. Mike is an inverted winger who will cut inside to shoot, while kladas looks to get to the byline and whip it in for the others. This front line works to create runs in behind and isolate wide players in one on one situations.

This formation offers significant tactical advantages through its ability to press high in coordinated waves. By using Marinos in the hole, AEL can achieve numerical superiority in midfield during certain phases of play. The presence of Mike and kladas wide ensures the team can spread wide to stretch the defense and create gaps in the middle.

AEL relies on high energy and verticality to overpower opponents. This 4-3-3 is best suited for games against teams that struggle to play out from the back under pressure.
