Talleres looks to control games through a direct and vertical style of play using a 4-4-2. This formation is built to exploit spaces behind the opposition defense and uses a balanced approach to transition from defense to attack. The team aims to win the ball in the middle of the pitch and move it forward quickly to catch the opponent out of position.

In goal, Belloni acts as the last line of defense. The defensive unit functions as a flat back four where Flores and Gonzalez operate as the central pairing. Flores acts as a ball playing defender to help build play, while Gonzalez provides cover to maintain a high line. On the flanks, Caceres and Varas act as full backs to protect the wide areas. Caceres looks to push up to support the midfield, whereas Varas keeps a more conservative position to defend against wide runners.

The midfield works in a traditional four man line to control the center and the flanks. Tamay and Grigolato operate as a double pivot to shield the defense and recycle possession. Tamay is tasked to carry the ball forward, while Grigolato looks to intercept passes and win the second ball. On the wings, Almiron and Cardozo provide width. Almiron aims to get to the byline to deliver crosses, while Cardozo tracks back to help the defense and provides width when attacking.

Talleres uses a two man strike partnership to pressure the opposition back line. Saucedo acts as a pressing centre forward to force long balls, while Nuñez plays as a second striker to find spaces between the lines. The two forwards work in combinations to pull defenders out of position, often creating runs in behind for each other. The wide players, Almiron and Cardozo, look to overlap or provide service to ensure the strikers can attack the near post or far post during transitions.

One major advantage for Talleres is the ability to create wide overloads when the full backs push high. The formation also allows for a compact block when defending in a mid-block, making it difficult for opponents to play through the center. This lineup provides the speed of transition necessary to catch teams on the break once the midfield wins the ball.

This 4-4-2 formation relies on a strong central block and quick movement in the final third. It is best suited for matches against teams that play a high line and leave space behind their defenders.
