Ajka relies on a high tempo and direct style of play using a 4-2-4 formation. This lineup is built to attack with heavy numbers in the final third and win the ball high up the pitch to catch the opposition out of position. The goal is to create constant pressure and use the width of the field to stretch the defence.

In goal, 71 sits behind a flat back four to manage the defensive line. The defenders 69, 70, 68, and 69 act as a zonal line to hold the position. While 68 and 69 on the flanks need to track back to cover wide areas, the central pair of 69 and 70 must stay compact to prevent through balls. They work to win the second ball and clear the lines when the opposition attempts to play out from the back.

The midfield is a double pivot consisting of 71 and 68. These two players are tasked with shielding the defence and managing the transition from attack to defence. 71 works to drive forward with the ball to link the lines, while 68 must hold the position to deny the pivot of the opposition. They act as the engine room, trying to recycle possession and quickly find the players further up the pitch.

Ajka utilizes four attackers to pin the last defender and create scoring chances. The team employs two forwards in a partnership with 70 and 68 operating as central strikers. Alongside them, 68 and 67 act as wide wingers who look to cut inside or pull wide to provide service. The front four press from the front to force a long ball, aiming to win possession in dangerous areas to hit in behind on the transition.

One major advantage for Ajka is the ability to create wide overloads when the wingers and full backs combine. The high number of attackers also allows the team to press in coordinated waves, making it difficult for opponents to build play. This formation creates massive pressure on the opposition back line, often isolating defenders in one on one situations.

This 4-2-4 lineup is designed for aggressive, vertical football that prioritizes quick transitions. It is best suited for games where Ajka needs to overwhelm a lower block or exploit a disorganized defensive unit.
