This setup allows the side to remain compact while offering clear lanes for vertical attacks when the ball is won back.

MIKEY sits between the posts to manage the defensive line. The back five consists of YAAZO acting as the central anchor, flanked by TIKKOP as the right centre back and ZAIDO at left centre back. AZHAR works as an attacking wing back on the right to provide width, while SAVVY covers the left flank as an attacking wing back. TIKKOP and ZAIDO focus on defending zonally, with YAAZO stepping up to intercept passes or win headers. The unit functions by staying narrow to protect the central area and forcing play wide.

The midfield works as a three-man midfield with a carrier and a creative presence. ADAM and TROY occupy the central roles, where they work to win the second ball and connect the defense to the attack. ADAM helps shield the back five, while TROY looks to drive forward with the ball to progress through the thirds. FUEGO operates as an attacking ten behind the strikers, playing in the hole to link the midfield to the front line. FUEGO looks to find the feet of the strikers or play through the lines to break the opposition block.

In the final third, the team uses two forwards in a partnership. JAMA, the captain, leads the line and works to find the feet of the strikers or hold up the ball to bring others into play. RAJ plays as the second striker, looking to make runs in behind the defense to exploit space. The attackers press from the front to force a long ball from the opponent. When attacking, the wing backs AZHAR and SAVVY push high to provide width, allowing the forwards to combine in tight spaces or receive lay offs from the flanks.

A major advantage of this formation is the compactness when defending, making it very difficult for opponents to play through the middle. The side can also create wide overloads when AZHAR and SAVVY push up, turning the back five into a three when in possession. The speed of transition allows the team to move from a low block to an attacking phase in seconds.

This 5-3-2 formation is designed to be a defensive wall that punishes teams on the break. It is best suited for games against possession based sides that leave space behind their high line.
