Chelsea Football Formation
Lineup (4-2-3-1)
Hilario · Ivanovic · Terry · Cole · Bosingwa (Luiz · 75) · Mikel (McEachran · 60) · Ramires · Mata · Sturridge · Lampard (Meireles · 65) · TorresChelsea team vs Sunderland (A), 10 September.
Other Substitutes: Turnbull, Ferreira, Malouda, Anelka.
Tactics:
Mikel to operate as holding midfielder alongside box to box midfielder Ramires who will take over as the more defensive player when McEachran is introduced. Lampard to be deployed as a more attacking midfielder in a free role behind Torres and will be a straight swap for Meireles to make his debut. The reason why Luiz comes in is as a needed boost of match fitness which he will be unlikely get in the next game against Manchester United. Bosingwa is subbed out instead of Ivanovic because you can't have David Luiz and Jose Bosingwa in the same team because Chelsea would be too weak defensively and in the particular game against Sunderland a risky move could leave both out of position and lead to conceding any late goals.
I predict the result to be 3-1 to Chelsea with Sturridge, Lampard and Ivanovic scoring the goals.
