Lineup (4-3-3)

The formation that I have made for the Euro 2008 and 2010 World Cup winners is inspired by Barcelona. And, to note, seven players on the field play for Barcelona. Xavi's excellent passing should help David Villa bang in the goals, while centre-backs Carles Puyol and Gerard Pique will tackle to the death. There is the omission of Chelsea's £50m striker Fernando Torres.

This formation should be used at Euro 2012, against Italy, the Republic of Ireland and Croatia.
