This 4-1-2-1-2 formation should be recommended for anybody playing Real Madrid in head-to-head seasons on FIFA 12. The Spanish club have world-class players in every position,

Although the defence has Ricardo Carvalho and Marcelo omitted from the line-up, Alvaro Arbeloa is unexpectedly at right-back, with Sergio Ramos (normally playing on the right) in the centre with Pepe. Fabio Coentrao is at left-back, where Marcelo traditionally is, although Coentrao has been favoured for a midfield role since he joined Los Blancos back in July from Benfica.

Move on to the midfield, and Xabi Alonso is in defensive midfield. Alonso has been an undisputed force in the starting eleven ever since his arrival, while Kaka and the excellent Angel Di Maria keep the midfield tight. Di Maria has been in excellent form all season so far, and although Kaka has been rumoured to clubs like Chelsea in recent times, the former World Player of the Year winner had a good performance against Ajax in the Champions League earlier this season.

Mesut Ozil is attacking midfielder, and has become a superstar now. Karim Benzema has replaced Gonzalo Higuain in the Real Madrid line-up in recent times, and can display skill. Cristiano Ronaldo is a Ballon d'Or contender, and although the Portuguese superstar is a winger, he can destroy defences lethally when he is moved into a forward role.
