This formation is both defensive and attacking. With four defenders and a central defensive midfielder, the back line is not only solid but well supported when defending an opposing attack. With a right and left midfielder, width is also an option when creating a chance to score. With Young and Nani both being fast and skillful wingers, this formation suits their ability perfectly, with plenty of support from the central players. Having two centre forwards and a striker strengthens the attacking force.
