Chelsea have been best when this formation has been played, but instead of having a misfiring Torres as the spearhead of the attack, I chose to put him as a support striker next to Mata (who has shown himself to be amazing in the centre) with Stirrudge in his now customary right wing role.

Essien and Ramires would provide the impetus, pace and sheer will in midfield that is needed when you have four out and out attackers and would play very deep shield the defence more than going up into attack.

The reason I would switch Terry from left defender to right, is because Luiz has improved immeasurably when played in the left centrehalf role. I was wondering whether Cahill might be better considering Terry's injury problem (and age) but I would prefer it if next season Bruma took the right hand side as he has shown himself to be an amazing talent.
