Lineup (4-2-3-1)
Etheridge · Sabio · J. Guirado · De Murga · Jonsson · Mulders · Schrock · Caligdong · J. Younghusband · Wolf · P. YounghusbandEtheridge's height and vast international experience proves to be a no brainer in his inclusion as starting keeper. J. Guirado's past two performances against the Aussies and Al- Alhli play a key factor as he covers for the injured talisman Borromeo. Sabio's rapid improvement and good form plants his spot beside J. Guirado. De Murga's ability to get behind the defense gives him a nod at right back, along with his tireless trackbacks which prevents opponents to take advantage on the counter. Jonsson is a consistent contributor at both ends, plus his partnership at the left with Chieffy. Mulders protects the back four as a Defensive Mid. His past Azkals games showcased him as a Left back which is not of his preferred spots. Paul's composure and creativity makes him preferred in this spot. Schrock is the center mid due to his vision with the ball as shown in the World Cup qualifiers. This maybe a different spot from his much acclimatized Left back position in Germany but he sure makes up for it by sheer heart and determination. Chieffy and James are the wingers constantly pressure the opponents with their guile and speed, while also whipping balls in for the others to pounce. Wolf is the farthest up top playing as a AMF mainly due to his recent good understanding with Phil and to his runs in between the defense. Phil plays as a line striker ready to take advantage of the through balls provided by the midfield and the defenders.
