England Formation 2012

England Football Formation

Creation DateMarch 3, 2012

Lineup (4-4-2)

Sturridge · Rooney · Chamberlain · Jones · Wilshere · Young · Richards · Smalling · Cahill · Gibbs · Hart

This is what the England team should look at the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil. Harry Redknapp should be the manager, and David Beckham his assistant, so it could be the 'England dream team'.

England have got some great players in their team, but most have been involved in disasters - like England's last-16 exit from the 2010 World Cup against Germany, and with this side, most of those guys won't be scarred with disasters. If this was the team for Euro 2012, the young England team could go there full of confidence, and use that tournament to gain experience, so when the 2014 World Cup comes around, they know their strengths and weaknesses, so they could win the tournament!

Some of the world's best young stars are English. Wonderkids like Jack Wilshere, Phil Jones and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are good already, but they'd get even better if they played alongside experienced stars like Wayne Rooney, Ashley Young and Joe Hart. Kieran Gibbs is at left-back, because Ashley Cole will be 33 when the 2014 World Cup comes about.

Also, if we have a younger side, the media would stop getting the England team under pressure, which was one reason we failed to get so far in the last World Cup. But, they'd go easier on a younger side and give them time to build a team! That means they'd play without pressure, like the young Germany side did at the 2010 World Cup!

Let's hope they do well against France, Sweden and Ukraine at Euro 2012, and get to the quarter-finals at least. And, the qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup kick off in September, as England travel to Moldova on the 7th of September, in a qualifying group containing Montenegro, Ukraine, Poland, Moldova and San Marino.

Let's hope the new England manager is Harry Redknapp, and he will do better than his predecessor Fabio Capello.
