Liverpool Football Formation
Lineup (4-2-3-1)
Reina · Agger · Skrtel · Enrique · Johnson · Lucas · Henderson · Marin · Sterling · Suarez · MartinezIf Marko Marin and Jackson Martinez gets purchased by us, this would be an extremely pacy and excellent all around team, and if we flog off Maxi, Kuyt and Aurelio we have gotten rid of old and high earners, while buying for as minimal as possible (Martinez 3m, Marin... 10m may I dare say so?). The reason I went for Marin, which there is a huge chance of NOT happening, is because he is THAT player we need, not the most pace, but he got the ability to unlock defenses and put in great crosses + beat a man or two. Watch a video of him and you'll know what I mean. This side is also very very young, and you got experience on the bench. The reason why I put Lucas over Gerrard, is because Gerrard is often injured and he is simply not his old self. But of course, he is our captain and he should be preferred over Henderson, but then again, the reason I chose Henderson in the number 10 role, is because he got great vision, passing and a good shot on him. He also have good technical ability and the main reason, the runs that will be made around him, he will spray passes and I'm sure he could handle such a role. The problem with this side is when the opponent has parked the bus which has been a huge problem for Liverpool this season, therefore I picked Sterling and Marin on the wings, which as I previously mentioned Marin could unlock defenses, but oh man, Sterling could easily take on some defenders himself. The key word about this side: Wings. While these great wingers could beat a man or two, and put in a great cross, we have Martinez in the box to finish it off. Suarez could also do this but he is mainly playing a bit of the same role as Henderson, but with less defensive responsibilities and more direct attacking (fire a shot from the edge of the box, dribbling through the heart of the defense, you know, in pure Suarez style). Also a huge advantage of this, is that you could put on Carroll from the bench and still have almost the same striker, but with less (current) ability. I believe Carroll could learn a lot from Martinez, if he comes to the club (pretty please). I know that this side doesn't look like anything Kenny would come up with right now, I mean, what would be the chances, but it just shows how much easier it is, than it seems, to create a great attacking side from the current Liverpool side, without ANY changes from the defense. While we would pass the ball around the edge of the box, Agger would come in about the same area as Lucas, in a sort of anchorman role, while Skrtel and one of the wingbacks stay down. This was a long as hell description but yeah thats it.
