I watched Chelsea all season struggle to play how we normally do with our 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 formation.
We clearly have been missing pacey wingers since the Robben/Duff and even more recently with Anelka/Malouda days.
I have seen many teams; Barca,Napoli and more recently WIGAN, playing 3 central defenders to great effect.
SO MANY PLUSES!
I believe we've had the players all season to fit into this shape but its never been tried?!
We never play Drogba and Torres together?
We are blessed with 3 of the best ''footballing cb's in the league..
Cole and Ramires love bombing up and down the wings.
Mata gets to play in the ''whole'' instead being pushed wide.
Lampard can still get forward due to having Mikel/Essien alongside him, plus 3 c/b's behind him.
