A solid formation giving excellent cover to the back four and control to the tempo of midfield. Kagawa would play in his favored spot behind the front man, and with Valencia able to come in for Nani, Welbeck in for Young or to replace Rooney at certain times, this formation is one which I can see us adopting, particularly in Europe.

I think the key part of Kagawa's transfer becoming a success, is for SAF to adapt the team to maximize his potential, something that never happened with Anderson or even Veron.
