Midfield is dominated by well-passing, hard-working box-to-box central midfielders. A typical DM who is mainly responsible for getting the ball back and passing it forward, plus actively supporting the central defenders in the absence of a wide-back who's gone forward. No wingers - active wide-backs all down the wing, instead. Two forwards up front who should link up well with one another.
